Ever imagine a Nigerian Police officer condemning actions of a fellow Police officer in another country, when right in front of him, that same thing he is trying to condemn is being perpetuated by his own men(a kettle and pot kind of situation)?
Well, that was how Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abayomi Shogunle got himself entangled on social media for his tweet on a viral video of an alleged Ghanaian Police Officer assaulting a nursing mother in a Banking Hall.
Mr. Shogunle who put up the video on his Twitter page, with a caption condemning the action of the officer, while also saying such a thing can never happen in Nigeria, got a taste of what Nigerians are like on social media…lol…no chill!
Trust Nigerians, as they wasted no time in reminding Mr. Shogunle of the daily brutality Nigerians are facing in the hands of the regular police and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, with a photo of a similar incident in Ibadan Oyo State.
Taking to his twitter page, he said:
WE (@PoliceNG) WILL NEVER DO THIS IN NIGERIA ??!
A Ghanaian ?? policeman beating a nursing mother in Rambo-style inside a banking hall in Accra today.
Hope #EndSARS people can see the real police brutality.
