The Russia 2018 FIFA world cup has come and gone, as France after beating Croatia 4-2 in one of the most epic finals of the FIFA World cup, was crowned world champion for the second time in twenty years.
The world cup was the most exciting of all the FIFA world cup tournaments ever seen in more than a decade, as notable names were all dumped out from the competition by lowly ranked teams. The likes of Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, all knocked out of the competition leaving the likes of France, Croatia, and Belgium as the top three best teams of the tournament.

As it is the norm in every sport, especially football, some of the outstanding players in the tournament were recognized at the end of it all, and Belgium and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was adjudged the best goalkeeper and was awarded the golden glove.

Also, Eden Hazard was also named second best player by taking the silver ball. Croatia’s Luka Modrić collected the Golden Ball, while Antoine Griezmann finished third and was awarded the Bronze Ball.
England striker Harry Kane won the Golden Boot with 6 goals, French player Kylian Mbappé Best Young Player, and the Spanish national team won the Fair Play Award.
