Popular American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr better known as Snoop Dogg, seem to have caught the fever and craze over the Nigerian Russia 2018 world cup jersey, as he shades Ghanaians image on social media over the beautiful piece from Nike. The rapper putting such a post might have just touched on a very sensitive issue without him even knowing…lol…or could it be his love for GREEN?
I mean who put up a photo and try to compare Nigerians and Ghanaians on social media without first checking the social media history of these two West African countries who constantly fight over Jollofrice, talkless of football!
The rapper who obviously is not knowledgeable about the usual banter that goes on between Ghanaians especially on ‘Jollofrice’ got a first-hand experience after his post. Though no insults were thrown at him, at least he got the message. But he somehow managed to make Nigerians and Ghanaians come for one another on his page, which could have been the sole purpose of his post.
Snoop Dogg put up the photo of Nigerian Jersey with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Nididi and Wizkid alongside other models as they unveiled the much talked about Jersey. He photoshops the photo with another with a man holding a kettle, and pull-up pants up to his chest with a huge tie to go with as the Ghanaian World Cup Gear. See photo:
Trust Nigerians and Ghanaians, they wasted no time to take a go at one another, as they try to convince the rapper on which country is better. While Nigerians enjoyed it, Ghanaians were not having it, bringing up the issue of Jollofrice and lack of 24hours electricity in Nigeria. See some of the reactions after the photo:
