After the claims and counter claims on whether there was adoption or not or whether there was ever a rescue mission of over 100 Dapchi school Girls in Yobe State or not, as earlier claimed both by the Nigerian Military and the State Government, the bottom is, there are still girls missing. The purported rescue mission which was widely praised by Nigerians but later turned out to be false, has been rubbished by the major opposition party in the country, Peoples Democratic Party. This the party did, in a just released Press statement issued online.
In the statement released on their social media handle, the PDP after calling the ugly incident as embarrassing are now calling on Nigerians and most especially the Dapchi community to hold the APC led government responsible for the adoption. The National Publicity Secretary, putting the Press release side to side with the earlier statement made by the Yobe State government, decided to title their letter:
Dapchi Girls Hold @AsoRock Responsible for Abduction…Accuses FG of Lying to Nigerians. If the incompetent @APCNigeria-led govt. had not lied to us in a bid to score cheap political points for its ill-lucked 2019 re-election, more precautionary measures would have been adopted
