Charles Okocha is the latest actor that will be joining award-winning producer and director Kunle Afolayan on the set of his yet to be released movie titled Mokalik.

Charles Okocha who recently revived his career with the help of the social media, after he used the statement made by former Nigerian Military Head of State General Ibrahim Babaginda, who a few months ago in one of the interviews  he granted in Nigeria State, he was alleged to have complained about Nigerians not being appreciative enough of him and the military, and that he deserved some ‘accolades’ for what they have done for Nigeria

This was how Charles Okocha a veteran Nollywood actor, took the word ‘accolade’ and made it popular through his social media skits.This brought him back into the limelight, and ever since, he has been attracting a lot of offers and attention, both in the movie industry and the corporate world in terms of endorsement and commercials.

So, producer Kunle Afolayan drafting him [Charles Okocha] as one of the cast members of his soon to be released movie Mokalik did  not come as a surprise, as he is one of the hottest faces in the social media and entertainment industry in Nigeria as of now.

According to Kunle Afolayan who is also directing the film, said Mokalik which means Mechanic in the English language, follows the career of an 11-year-old boy, Jaiye, from the middle-class suburbs who spends the day as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks.

The movie also has singer Simi as one of the cast members, as Afolayan is going for some new faces and mixing it up with some of the old blood in the industry, especially those from the Yoruba movie industry.

Also, Kunle Afolayan when unveiling Charles Okocha as a new character in the movie, said the Charles Okocha will retain his real name in the movie and will be taking the role of Charles in Mokalik.
