Taylor Swift couldn’t escape her own star power as she cheered on boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday night, Daily Mail reports.
After watching the team beat the New Orleans Saints 23-16, Taylor Swift celebrated with fellow Chiefs WAGs, including wide receiver Mecole Hardman’s fiancee Chariah Gordon, the report by Daily Mail added.
In a short clip uploaded to Gordon’s Instagram Story, she and Taylor Swift chatted about the Chiefs’ big win inside Kelce’s VIP suite.
Unbeknownst to Taylor Swift, there was a photo of herself from her record-breaking Eras Tour hanging up on the wall behind them as they spoke.
Taylor Swift, 34, famously performed at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023.
‘How do you feel after this win?’ Gordeon asked the 13-time Grammy Award-winner, who replied: ‘No, it’s important that answer the question this time.’
Taylor Swift said the win was ‘perfect’ before the team’s bye week, while Gordon said: ‘I think that we feel really good about this week, we are 5-0.’
It took several seconds for Swift to finally notice her portrait in the background.
The Pennsylvania native then pointed to the Eras Tour poster behind her and quipped: ‘Sorry for photobombing myself!’
Situated directly beside Swift’s photo was a large framed portrait of Kelce playing football.
Swift and Gordon posed by the Kelce photo with Chris Jones’s girlfriend Sheawna, as well as Nick Bolton and Derrick Nnadi’s respective partners.
The singer returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night after missing the team’s last two road games against Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers.
She was also absent for Kelce’s 35th birthday last Saturday, where he hosted a charity event in Kansas City for his ’87 and Running’ foundation.
For the big game, Swift wowed in a plaid strapless top and skirt with sky-high black platform boots.
She rocked her signature red lip and black winged eyeliner.
For a fun twist, the Anti-Hero hitmaker added glitter freckles to her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.
Kelce had nine receptions for 70 yards in Monday’s game, signaling an upturn in his performance level after a slow start to the season by his usual standards.
He even threw a lateral at one stage late in the second quarter, igniting wild excitement at the stadium.
Swift took her seat in the suite alongside her father, Scott. Kelce’s father Ed was also in the suite, as well as his sister-in-law Kylie – who was on hand to support.
The Chiefs play next a week Sunday, facing the San Francisco 49ers in California on Oct. 20 in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl.
But the team is now off until Monday, giving Kelce and Swift some time to spend together between the ongoing demands of the NFL schedule.
Swift, meanwhile, starts the final leg of her Eras Tour next Friday in Miami on a run of dates that ends in Canada in December.
