Paris Hilton son is picking up on his mom’s lingo!
In a reel she posted on Instagram on Sunday, July 28, the singer and socialite, 43, revealed her son Phoenix Barron’s first word, which he sang along with his mom as they cuddled in a hammock that appeared to be on a boat.
“Sanasa, sanasa, sanasa, sanasa,” the 18-month-old babbled as they rocked back and forth in the hammock. Paris Hilton wore a bright yellow bikini top and shorts with a beach print on them, accessorized with a matching pair of neon yellow sunglasses in the clip.
Paris Hilton and her friend Nicole Richie made up the phrase on their 2000s reality series The Simple Life. Per Urban Dictionary, the duo used to sing the word over and over again — as Hilton and her son were doing in the video — when they were “bored or looking for fun and silly attention.”
“The term is chanted over in an improvisational manner,” the site’s explanation continued. But the last time the word is chanted, it is “always screamed very loudly.”
Paris Hilton shared her joy about her son’s first word in the caption of the video.

The “I’m Free” singer also described what it means to her to be a mom of two. In addition to her son, she shares daughter London Marilyn, 8 months, with her husband, Carter Reum.
“And I’m so excited to give him and his sister London the most beautiful and magical life ever! Love my #CutesieCrew 
#SlivingMom #sanasa,” Hilton’s caption concluded. The reality star continued to praise her son in the comments of the video adding, “Baby P is my world! 
.”
Hilton’s post came just days after she shared a video on Instagram taken on a private jet, in which she matched both of her kids in colorful white pajamas with a multicolored heart pattern.
As for why the reality star was introducing her son to one of her iconic phrases, it’s potentially because PEOPLE learned in the spring that she and Ritchie, 42, are rebooting The Simple Life,which originally aired from 2003 to 2007.
The pair have shared posts on their respective social media about their time filming the all-new series, which will air on Peacock.
