Popular American rapper and filmmaker, Curtis Jackson known better as 50cent, has taken to his official social media handle to send a warm birthday message to his friend and mentor, Eminem on his birthday.

Curtis Jackson took to his social media handle on Tuesday 17th October 2023, posting a series of photos of Eminem and himself with a caption that reads:

“Happy Birthday to the living legend @Eminem
love you to death man, God bless wishing you many more,” he said.

Aside the birthday message, this is not the first time, that Curtis Jackson would be showing his appreciation, as he has always spoken so glowingly of Eminem in all his interviews concerning him and their relationship, as in one of his interviews with  XXL Magazine spoke about their friendship as he prepares to embark on his “The Final Lap Tour.” During the discussion, the Grammy Award-winning artist talked about Eminem’s effect on the music industry and their bond.

“[Eminem’s impact on hip hop] is unmeasurable,” he shared. “You can look at artists within the culture and say, ‘Well, we don’t hear his records in the nightclub.’ He didn’t make those records with intentions for you to listen to ’em there. And if that was the goal, we would make one right now that would f**k up your life.”

As the conversation continued, 50 elaborated on how the Detroit lyricist aided him as a mentor. “What helped me not [to] have a big head at any point was I had Eminem around,” the 48-year-old stated. “So when I’m doing 13 million records on my first album, I have the Marshall Mathers LP to look at that’s doing 23 million records. Em, I put him next to my grandmother, and I’ma tell you why. He was always a place where I could go and just talk to him, and know that he has my best interest at heart.”

50 noted that when it came to his music, he sought Slim Shady’s approval. “I would gather whatever I felt like was dope, and then I’d come and just press play, and I’d watch him. If I didn’t get no response out of him, I would really scrap the record,” the “Candy Shop” performer said. “I wouldn’t use it if he didn’t respond to it and hear the record like it mean something. I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m not suing that s**t.’”

American rapper, songwriter, and record producer Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known professionally as Eminem, was born on this day October 17th 1972 in Saint Joseph, Missouri, United States. Happy birthday to him.
