A group of countries in the East African region plans to send three leaders to Sudan to mediate between the warring armies, as the Sudan crisis claims 100 lives.

On Sunday, IGAD agreed to send the leaders of Kenya, South Sudan and Djibouti to the capital of Khartoum, according to BBC reports.

Also, she called for an immediate ceasefire between the conflicting parties in the Sudan crisis.

Except for the closure of the international airport, there is no certainty as to when the peace plan will begin.

According to reports, fighting continues between the government forces and the emergency forces to support the security of the RSF, despite the appeals made by the international community to see the warring parties stop firing.

The President of Kenya, William Ruto, asked the leaders of the East African Union to stand up to restore peace in the city of Khartoum.

100 civilian were killed in the Sudan Crisis

The medical association in Sudan said that about 100 civilians were killed in the fighting between the government and non-government forces.

The medical association has warned that hospitals are suffering from lack of equipment in Khartoum city, calling on the government army and the RSF to respect the laws of war.

The BBC representative said that the ceasefire was suspended for a few hours as requested by the United Nations, in order to take the hundreds of injured people to the hospital, but this was not effective due to the continuing fighting between the two sides.

On the other hand, the African Union hopes to send representatives to Sudan, to solve the problem between the military leader, General Abdel Fattah al-Burha, and his former deputy and commander of the RSF, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
