President Buhari's Advance Convoy Attacked By Gunmen

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the Owo church attack on Sunday, as he condemned the heinous killing of worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo Kingdom, in Ondo State.

The President in a statement released on Sunday 5th June 2022, while mourning those that were killed in the Owo church attack, also condoled with their families, the Catholic Church, and the Government of Ondo State, charging emergency agencies to swing into action, and bring succour to the wounded.

“No matter what, this country shall never give in to evil and wicked people, and darkness will never overcome the light. Nigeria will eventually win,” the President was quoted to have said.

The church attack by gunmen, were reported to have left about 50 innocent worshippers dead and many injured during a church service at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo state on Sunday.
