Belgium wins Group, after former Manchester United player Adnan Januzaj’s lone strike in the second half helped Belgium beat England to end their group games with 9-points from three games.

The result meant that England finished the group on just 6-points from three games, and sees them qualify as runners-up to Belgium to the round of sixteen alongside Belgium the group leader.

The game did not really live up to all the buzz, as both team coaches rested all their stars and lined up mostly their second team. The first half lacked so many things as both teams showed too much respect for each other, making the game so dull to watch.

The game was so dull, that it was adjudged by former Manchester United player Dwight York who was one of the pundits in a popular sports station in Africa, as the most boring football game he has ever seen on television. But things changed in the second half as both teams stepped up their play, to give fans something to cheer about, as Adnan Januzaj’s goal was what broke the ice, to give Roberto Matinez a perfect record since becoming the national team coach of Belgium.
The former Chelsea coach and player, has managed 12-games for Belgium winning 11-games and drawing just one of them. They will be facing Japan in the round of sixteen, while England face a more difficult challenge in Columbia.
