Comedian Basketmouth Marks Anniversary Of Dad's Death

Comedian Basketmouth is remembering his late father, Mr Peter Okpocha whom he said passed away 12-years ago today.

Comedian Basketmouth taking to his social media handle on Thursday 14th October 2021, to mark the 12th anniversary of his late father, post a series of photos of his father to pay a tribute to him.

The comedian in his touching tribute to his late father on Thursday on his Instagram, captioned the photos he shared saying:

“It’s been 12yrs since we lost the real #BadMan we miss you, daddy.
Rest on Mr. Peter”, he said.

While the late Mr Peter Okpocha died in 2009, his wife died in 2016. And The Okpocha family have been honouring and celebrating them each year since their death.

Comedian Basketmouth had in 2016, announced the death of his mother via his official Instagram handle. He had put up a post then saying:

Last night my angel left me,” he wrote. “My first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today; I’ve loved you through the tough times. I’ve loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy. – May her soul rest in peace Amen.”

The multitalented Nigerian entertainer, who has been celebrating his late parents both on their birthdays, anniversary of their deaths, and even mother and father’s day, in one of his many tributes to his father, in 2016, had posted a photo with this message to mark the 7th anniversary of his late father. he said:

It’s 7 years today. 7 years since you left us…all 7 of us. Now you have your queen by your side and we know you are both cheering us on. We will make you both proud and that’s a promise. We love you.”
