Chelsea is said to have completed the signing of Leicester City defender, Ben Chilwell on a £50million transfer fee.
Chelsea who are desperately in need of another left-back, after a dismal performance at the back last season, were reported to have finally landed their man, Ben Chilwell. This comes after weeks of negotiations with both player and Leicester City.
Although nothing has been confirmed by both clubs, initially, Leicester City were holding out for £80million for Ben Chilwell just to scare Chelsea away, but somehow, they lowered their asking price for the injured 23-year-old England international. He be will be joining the new boys at Chelsea for a new challenge for £50million.
If the latest news about Ben Chiwell is true, then the Leicester city left-back will be the third signing for the Blues so far in this transfer market, after the signing of Timo Werner for £53m and Hakim Ziyech for £38million. There is also the news of Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr, all coming through this week.
Chilwell will sign a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
