United Looking To Sign Kingsley Coman As Alternative To Sancho

Manchester United are said to be looking at Beyern Munich winger, Kingsley Coman as a cheaper and better bargain to Dortmund and England winger, Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils who were initially reported to have agreed on personal terms with Jadon Sancho, are now said to be having a second thought on the deal.

The alternative of a possible Kingsley Coman signing and threats to pull out of the deal came up, after Dortmund continue to hold out on what the Manchester United negotiating parties called, an ‘unrealistic £108milllion’ for the 20-year-old winger.

Manchester United are also reluctant to be held to what they consider to be an artificial deadline of August 10, after Dortmund indicated that they want any deal completed before they leave for a pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

According to the report by Dailymail, Manchester United are calling the £108million valuation for the 20-year-old, as too much, even after they were rumoured to have worked out an instalment financial plan on the £108million transfer fees.

Manchester United not signing Jadon Sancho, would be a big disappointment to the fans, after all the buzz about his potential arrival to the Old Trafford on social media, and given what the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City and of course, Liverpool are doing to their squad. But Kingsley Coman whose name is being thrown around as a possible replacement, is also not a bad one, as he also has the potential to boost the Red Devils attack.

The report by Dailymail added that, the Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has warned that transfer fees are going to be significantly lower this year, but that has not stopped Dortmund holding out for a figure that would smash the British record £89m United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba in 2016.

Kingsley Coman looks a cheaper option if Dortmund are refusing to budge on their £108 asking transfer fee.

It’s also understood that United have not reached an agreement over the player’s personal terms, as earlier reported, as negotiations are still ongoing on the £108million transfer fees.

United have been more disciplined since handing Alexis Sanchez an astronomical deal worth up to £560,000-a-week in January 2018, and are determined not to break their wage structure.

While United remain very keen on Sancho and hopeful of completing the transfer, the latest developments are a clear indication that they will not allow Dortmund to dictate negotiations.
