The next line up Verzuz challenge was announced a few hours ago, and the names unveiled have gotten fans hyped already, as organizers are bringing in DMX and Snoop Dogg to face-off in the ‘Battle Of The Dogs’ challenge.
They are clearly letting the Dogs out! and who will come out top in the Verzuz face-off scheduled for July 22 on Verzuz’ IG and on Apple Music, we cannot wait to see. Fans cannot wait to have their fingers on their phone keypads, as this could be the best ever Verzuz yet.
No doubt, it is going to be a tough one, as fans will definitely split on this one, especially the OGs. But this battle could be the most popular beat battle series yet.
Both artists have a slew of hits under his belt and a distinct flavour. DMX will likely revisit classics that show the best of his ferocious delivery, like “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” and “X Gon’ Give It to Ya.” “Get at Me Dog” seems like another appropriate pick for the battle.
And, in addition to iconic tracks like “Gin & Juice” and “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” Snoop will certainly bring out the jokes and his laid-back persona.
Launched in March by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, Verzuz began as a competition between producers but evolved to include writers and performers. Recently, John Legend and Alicia Keys duked it out in a battle of the pianos to celebrate Juneteenth, while other matchups have included T-Pain and Lil Jon, Ludacris and Nelly, and Jill Scott vs. Erykah Badu.
