The Kano State Governor, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in an effort to maintain the policy of his administration towards improving Shari’ah related agencies and their activities in the state, also as part of the Next Level Agenda, has approved the appointment of Islamic scholars in managing all the Shari’ah inclined bodies.
Governor Ganduje directed that all the appointments are with immediate effect. Adding that the appointments are well deserving and timely, “It is important for all to know that these appointments are deserving and were based on the performances of the appointees, among other factors we considered.”
All chairmen of Shari’ah, Zakkah and Khubsi Commissions, State Shura Council, Hisbah Board, Kano State Censorship Board and State Special Players Committee were appointed by the governor.
The appointments are listed below:
1) Shari’ah Commission has Sayyadi Bashir Tijjani Usman Zangon Barebari as Chairman, Sheikh Hussaini Yakubu Rano, Commissioner I and Sheikh Jabirul Ansari Nasiru Kabara as Commissioner II,
2) Zakkah and Khubsi Commission has Malam Usman Makwarari as Chairman, Sheikh Dr Abdulmadallif Ahmad Muhammad Imam Tharip as Commissioner I, Sheikh Al-Bakari as Commissioner II, Mukhtar Sheikh Abubakar Nagogo as Deputy Chairman and Safiyanu I. Abubakar as Director General,
3) State Shura Council has Sheikh Kariballah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara as Chairman,
4) Hisbah Board has Shaikh Shaikh Maihula as Chairman and Hussaini Ahmad Chediyar Kuda as Deputy Commander,
5) Kano State Censorship Board has Sheikh Bazullah Nasiru Kabara as Chairman, and
6) State Special Prayers Committee (Kwamitin Addu’a) has Mahiru Ibrahim Madabo as Chairman
Governor Ganduje urged them all to discharge their duties diligently. All appointment are with immediate effect.
