Vanessa Bryant just as we suspected would happen, has asked for an investigation into LA County deputies who took and shared the Kobe Bryant’s crash photos from the helicopter crash.
Vanessa Bryant who spoke via the family lawyer, released a statement on her social media speaking on the Kobe Bryant’s crash photos being shared by Sherrif’s deputies, saying:
“Our client, Vanessa Bryant, is absolutely devastated by allegations that deputies from the Lost Hills Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department publicly disseminated photos from the helicopter crash site.”
According to reports obtained by Vanessa went to the Sheriff’s office on January 26th and requested “that the area be designated a no-fly zone and protected from photographers. This was of critical importance to her as she desired to protect the dignity of all the victims and their families.”
Vanessa says at the time, “Sheriff Alex Villanueva assured us all measures would be put in place to protect the families’ privacy, and it is our understanding that he has worked hard to honour those requests.
The lawyer continues, “First responders should be trustworthy. It is inexcusable and deplorable that some deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s substation, other surrounding substations and LAFD would allegedly breach their duty. This is an unspeakable violation of human decency, respect, and of the privacy rights of the victims and their families.”
Vanessa’s lawyer added, “We are demanding that those responsible for these alleged actions face the harshest possible discipline and that their identities be brought to light, to ensure that the photos are not further disseminated. We are requesting an Internal Affairs investigation of these alleged incidents.

The LA County Sheriffs Deputies who shared the Kobe’s crash photos, was reported to have been exposed by an irate bartender, as Law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, said L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to the crash scene took photos that included remains from the helicopter crash.
One of the deputies, a trainee was said to have taken Kobe Bryant’s crash photos and at some point went to a bar and, as one source put it, “He tried to impress a girl by showing her the Kobe’s crash photos.”, and the bartender overheard the conversation and filed an online complaint with the Sheriff’s Department, the TMZ report added.
The report also added that the cell phone photos were passed around at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s substation, the first responders to the crash. Sources say deputies from other substations around L.A. County also took cell phone photos.
It was also reported that the Sheriff’s Department has known about this for 3 weeks. The trainee who showed Kobe’s crash photos to a woman in a bar did so a few days after the crash.
The lawyer says Vanessa wants “the harshest possible discipline, and that their identities be brought to light, to ensure that the photos are not further disseminated.”
