Tony Romo Reportedly Inks $17 Million Broadcast Deal With CBS

Popular NFL TV analyst, Tony Romo is officially the world highest paid NFL analyst on Television, as he pens a whooping $17million per season broadcast deal with CBS, The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, reports.

The record-breaking deal means that the former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Tony Romo will be staying put at CBS where before now, he was earning just $4million annually.

He began working for CBS as an NFL analyst in 2017, months after his retirement from the league. It was recently reported that ESPN was preparing to offer Romo between $10 million to $14 million per year if he failed to renew his contract with CBS next month.

The two sides struck a deal Friday before ESPN got its chance to lure Tony Romo, who is regarded as the NFL’s best analyst, perhaps ever.

The New York Post was first to report the figure. The outlet’s also reporting the deal for “significantly more than five years,” which could mean the entire deal may be worth more than $100 MILLION. The Sports Business Journal says CBS Sports confirmed locking Romo to a new deal but would not comment on terms.
