The British Royal family has confirmed Princess Beatrice’s wedding date, as the eldest daughter of embattled Prince Andrew, and Sarah who are the Duke and Duchess of York, is set to tie the knot with her millionaire boyfriend, Edoardo.
The Royal family on Friday, took to their social media handles to announce Princess Beatrice’s wedding date and has been fixed for May 29th in London.
The photos of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi which they had shared during their engagement announcement in September 2019, was posted with this message as caption:
“The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020 at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.”
A longer statement was also released on the official royal website, which revealed Queen Elizabeth had “kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace .”
It also announced that the Queen would host a private wedding reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
Princess Beatrice’s engagement was announced last on Thursday 26th September 2019, where they shared official engagement pictures on Instagram and statement to the public after their engagement in Italy.
‘We are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Beatrice to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. ‘Her Royal Highness and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged in Italy earlier this month.’ the statement from the Royal family had said.
In a statement, the couple said: ‘We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. ‘We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. ‘We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.’
The Duke and Duchess of York said in a statement: ‘We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride. ‘We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. ‘We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future.’
