Kanye West finally dropped his much-anticipated Gospel album, “Jesus Is King,” after some delays and a tweet on Thursday night that he was still trying to work on some of the songs before release.
The ‘Jesus Is King’ album is Kanye West’s 9th studio album, and it is coming after he missed a midnight release date, but fans were delighted when it finally arrived, that they have taken to their social media pages to express their thoughts about the new album.
The 11-track album focuses on religious salvation and features hymns, sermons and music from choirs. It reflects Kanye West’s ostensive quest to get closer to God and filled with bars inspired by numerous passages in the Bible.

In songs like “Selah,” ‘Ye cites several Bible scriptures and even references his previous album Yandhi. Other songs, like “Follow God” and “Use This Gospel” featuring the freshly reunited Clipse and Kenny G, remind us of the Old Kanye’s sound.
Along with the album, Kanye West has also released a 31-minute IMAX film that has been screening in theatres around the world
The film has been getting generally positive reviews and mostly features stylized shots of West’s Sunday Service performances.
