In every sport game, especially if it is a final where the result at the end of the day does not go your way, the players or the Coach will surely have one or two excuses to give as to why they lost. Most times, all fingers are pointed at the man at the middle, and his assistants on the side, who are also as important just as the one at the middle. This was exactly what happened with Jack Wilshere trying to blame officials with his long Instagram message to Arsenal fans, a day after their embarrassing defeat at a Stadium they have boosted was their home, given their recent triumph at the Stadium in League cup finals.
The midfielder who seems bitter not about the defeat in the hands of Manchester City, but by the streams of criticisms they received after the game, has finally opened up almost 48hours later. The English man in giving his account on what actually happened in the final at the Wembley stadium where they lost 3-0 to city, faulted Referee’s decisions. He was also quick to dismiss both social media and football pundits criticism, as he took to his social media to give reasons why they lost woefully to City. He said:
Hard to put into words my emotions about yesterday. City are a good team and deserved to win yesterday. Alot of people have had their say on us and we have to accept cristism when we loose. That being said i can’t accept some of the decisions that went against us yesterday. What ever you say about the first goal, its a foul. The second goal is offside. There should have been a second yellow in the first half. Yes this happens in football but its still hard to accept. And people will say we are looking for excuses but these are facts. Anyway we need to respond, starting on thursday. Thanks to all the gooners for your support and trust me we feel the same but we need to stick together ?
…both teams meet again on Thursday in the Premier League, and I just pray Jack Whilshere and his other Arsenal teammates give Arsenal fans that believe again, as that is the only way, all these he has said above would only make sense….hopefully they don’t blame Theresa May for another defeat…lol
