The President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump has defended North Korea’s missile launch, saying it does not violate the historical Singapore agreement he had with his friend Kim Jong Un and South Korea.

President Donald Trump whose surprising statement is coming a few hours after Noth Korea and Kim Jong Un were reported to have tested and launched their third projectiles this week at the North Korea’s east coast, insisted that North Korea’s missile launch of the short-range missiles does not violate the Singapore agreement, but could have violated the laws of the United Nations on nuclear weapons and testing.

Donald Trump taking to his favourites medium of information dissemination,  the Twitter, to express his take on the North Korea’s missile launch, said:

“Kim Jong Un and North Korea tested 3 short-range missiles over the last number of days. These missiles tests are not a violation of our signed Singapore agreement, nor was there a discussion of short-range missiles when we shook hands. There may be a United Nations violation, but Chairman Kim does not want to disappoint me with a violation of trust, there is far too much for North Korea to gain – the potential as a Country, under Kim Jong Un’s leadership, is unlimited” he said.

Trump who made history a few weeks ago, by becoming the first American President to cross to North Korea, after he was invited by Kim Jong Un, hails the North Korea leader, calling him too smart to want to jeopardize the future of his country by going against their agreement. He said:

“Also, there is far too much to lose. I may be wrong, but I believe that Chairman Kim has a great and beautiful vision for his country, and only the United States, with me as President, can make that vision come true. He will do the right thing because he is far too smart not to, and he does not want to disappoint his friend, President Trump!”

According to CNN reports that South Korea’s military has been monitoring North Korean activity and confirmed the launch of two “unidentified short-range projectiles” from North Korea’s South Hamgyong Province toward the East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.

The projectiles were launched at 2:59 a.m. and 3:23 a.m. local time, the statement said.

The timing of the tests coincides with a series of ASEAN meetings held this week in the Thai capital of Bangkok, where US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in attendance.
