Tiwa Savage announces she is dropping a new song soon, as she teased fans who are eager to hear and see what the new sounds would feel like with some lovely photo shoots for the new single. There is no doubt that expectations from fans are insanely high, since she announced that she has joined an international record label, but we trust she is going to deliver as usual…
Finally, our own Queen Tiwa is about to bless our ears this week or so, with a new solo single which title we do not know yet…
The woman popularly referred to as the Queen of Afrobeat sounds, is clearly doing the right thing, as just yesterday she broke the news that she has signed for Universal Music Group, and now she is following that up with a new and her first single.
She joined the American based Music Record Label, after spending seven years with African and Nigerian based Music Record Label, Mavin. She described the move as an incredible moment for her, as she is grateful to God for all his blessings.
On How he got to be signed into Universal Music Group, she said:
“I met with the chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Music Group, Sir Lucian Grainge after he called me, that he has listened to my music and liked it. He said he would like us to partner and work together, so we started talking about joining the group and here we are, as a family”
On what it means joining Universal Music Group:
“It is like a dream joining Universal, it is a legacy, an honour as a Nigerian doing Afrobeats in Universal, and for the music to be presented to the world in the right way, I think it is an honour,” she said.
“I want to carry along my fans all over the world, and now that I am signed to Universal, I will carry along the new ones too,” she said
…with all these, we cannot wait for the new single to drop, so we can sample her new sound to the sounds we have come to know her for over the years.
