Babajide Sano-Olu has a few hours ago, announced Lagos State Commissioner for Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Dr Femi Hamzat as his running mate for the Lagos State Governorship election in 2019.
Babajide Sanowo-Olu is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate for the 2019 Governorship election, as he will be looking to take over from present Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, come 2019.
The APC candidate is making history, as, since 1999, all previous Governorship candidate have all picked and worked with female Deputy Governors, from Chief Bola Tinubu, (he later picked a male Deputy, after clashing with his then female Deputy, Senator Kofoworola Buknor-Akerele in 2003 ) and Fashola all operated with a female Deputies, even Governor Ambode is currently operating with a female Deputy Governor.

Commissioner For Ministry of Science and Technology (2005-2011)
He is married to Mrs Oluremi Hamzat
Babajide Sanwo while making this announcement, said he has consulted widely before picking Femi Hamzat as his running mate. He took to his social media page to make the announcement. He said:

“After consulting widely with stakeholders and our political party, I am delighted to announce Dr. Femi Hamzat as my Deputy Governorship candidate. With this decision, Lagosians should rest assured of the best as we will work assiduously to transform every aspect of our lives.”
