Miss Akapson: The unfortunate death of Miss Anita Akapson in the hands of four Nigerian Police officers has been attracting a lot of condemnation by Nigerians, and some prominent Nigerians who have condemned the shooting and killing of Miss Akapson are no other than Senator Ben Murra-Bruce and a Chieftain of PDP, Cheif Femi Fani-Kayode.

The duo of Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in their respective social media handles, not only condemned the senseless act by the alleged Policemen, but are also called for an investigation into the incident, they alleged was politically motivated.

Femi Fani-Kayode on his social media handle, said the victim was a niece to former Minister of Finance, and a member of PDP, Senator Nenadi Usman. He said the incident occurred on Saturday, a few hours after the Federal Government allegedly released a list of 50 high-profile Nigerians banned from leaving the country. He said:

“Former Min. of Finance and leading opposition figure,Sen. Nenadi Usman, was one of those listed on Buhari’s travel ban.A few hours after the Presidency announced the ban her niece was trailed, targetted, intercepted and shot dead by 4 policemen in the middle of the night in Abuja!” He said.

The Senator representing Bayelsa East, Senator Ben Bruce on the other hand, while reacting to the sad news, commiserated with the families of Miss Akapson, while also insisting on proper investigation to the killing. He said:

“My heartfelt condolences to the family of Senator Nenadi Usman over the murder of her 31-year-old daughter, Anita Akapson. Most disturbing is the reported shielding of the officer who carried out the dastardly act. I demand a full & public investigation by our security agencies.”

The Police have since condemned the shooting and killing of Miss Anita Akapson, as they have earlier released a statement that states:
