Britney Spears Breaks Silence After Ex-husband Sam Asghari's Tell-All Interview

Britney Spears has suggestively broken her silence after her ex-husband Sam Asghari gave a bombshell tell-all interview, DailyMail reports.

The couple, who met on set of Spears’ Slumber Party music video in 2016, married in 2022 after six years of dating.

However, Asghari shocked fans and Britney Spears herself by filing for divorce 14 months later.

According to the report by DailyMail, in his new interview, Asghari, 30, opened up about his seven-year romance with Britney Spears, 43, and revealed why he felt ‘afraid’ during her infamous conservatorship.

Now Britney Spears has put two mysterious posts on her Instagram page, leaving the question in the air as to whether she was responding to Ashgari.

One was a painting of a bright pink door surrounded by feathers, accompanied by Spears’ caption: ‘Only the chosen shall enter !!!’

The other was one of Spears’ trademark scantily-clad dance videos, showing her prancing about to music while dressed in barely there lingerie.

For her latest dance video, Spears’ music selection was the 2006 single Unfaithful by Rihanna. When news first broke of Asghari’s split from Spears, sources claimed that he suspected her of infidelity, via TMZ.

Ever since their divorce, Asghari and Spears have spoken warmly of each other in public – she called him a ‘gift from God’ in her memoir The Woman In Me, and he returned the compliment by saying the praise made him ‘smile.’

Now, Asghari has given a wide-ranging interview about his interview with Spears, on an episode of the podcast The Viall Files.

As for Spears’ conservatorship, which was terminated in November 2021 after 12 years, Asghari admitted to host Nick Viall that it was ‘strange’ for him to ‘deal with.’

Britney Spears was involuntarily placed under a conservatorship by a judge back in 2008 and her father Jamie Spears controlled her estate for its entirety.

Asghari said he learned of Britney’s unique legal situation right when they started dating in 2016 — but not from the pop star herself.

‘That was very strange for me to deal with. I got hit with that at the beginning [of his relationship with Spears],’ he told Viall.

When asked by Viall if Britney ‘explained it’ to him, Asghari said that it was someone on Britney’s team who made him aware.

‘She didn’t explain. Somebody called me and said, ‘Oh, just so you know, this is this and make sure you’re obeying by our rules and stuff like that,” he claimed.

Asghari, who immigrated to the United States from Iran at age 12, said he initially feared that Britney was being ‘suppressed’ and ‘controlled.’

‘I’m coming from a country where I dealt with this already. I dealt with women being suppressed and being controlled by men their whole life,’ he explained.

‘So I was like, ‘Ok, this is weird but, wait a minute, this is America. Something doesn’t make sense.”
After the phone call with the unnamed member of Britney’s team, Asghari said he didn’t run to tell the singer right away.

Not necessarily. I really tried to understand it. I tried to understand why [the conservatorship] was ever in place to begin with,’ he told Viall.

Asghari appeared to suggest that he had little power in changing the situation as the singer’s boyfriend.

You really don’t have much to say especially if you’re just a boyfriend or someone that’s just there [in her life].’

He also admitted that he was ‘afraid’ of losing Britney if he tried to rock the boat.

‘I was afraid they were gonna maybe make me not see her and things like that,’ he said.

Instead, Asghari tried his best to be a support system for Britney Spears, telling Viall: ‘You have to be gentle and provide support as much as you can.’

Viall’s wife and co-host Natalie Joy asked Sam if he faced ‘threats’ from Britney’s estate if he didn’t ‘follow the rules and regulations’ put in place for the star.

Asghari seemed to avoid the question and, instead, used it to shutdown rampant speculation that he’d been slapped with a ‘gag order.’

What I do have is an upbringing with a lot of respect and what I do have is morals,’ he said.
‘I don’t like talking about it. I get it, there was a lot of fans and there’s a lot of questions. It’s almost weird if you don’t talk about it, you know what I mean?’

When asked ‘what it was like’ being in a relationship with one of the biggest stars in the world, Asghari called it a ‘college crash course in Hollywood and how Hollywood [can] be.’

He seemed to describe Britney as a ‘megastar’ who was ‘vulnerable’ to the people closest to her.

‘Being in a relationship with someone that was such an icon and was at the top of her world….someone who Taylor Swift looks up to and everybody else is looking up to,’ he marveled.
He called Britney Spears the ‘blueprint’ and that modern day pop stars are ‘not even close’ to her icon status.

‘I am a fan now after being with her for seven years,’ Asghari admitted.

‘I saw what it took. It’s a lot of hard work. It’s a lot of things that happen in your personal life that’s not worth the hard work.’

On the podcast, Sam also admitted to signing an NDA.

He explained: ‘You can’t take a poop in Hollywood without having an NDA. … That’s the true part of it.’

The actor also admitted that it ‘sucks’ when it comes to any romantic relationship ending but he is still able to reflect fondly on the time they have spent together.

Sam explained: ‘I always hated the fact that somebody goes and talks about this and cries and tries to get attention or use that as leverage.

It’s my life. I lived it. I experienced it. But I think certain things you talk about in public and certain things you don’t. And I think it doesn’t matter what the cause was.

I think what matters the most is the time that we spent together, the things that we’ve learned. And that was a big part of my life and her life as well.’
