Anthony Joshua a few hours ago, via a short video on his social media page, confirmed that he will be defending his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles against Jarrell Miller a.ka Bigbaby Miller in the United States of America, as he debuts at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1st 2019.
The 29-year-old Anthony Joshua who had previously clashed with Bigbaby Miller off the ring apologized to his fans on taking the fight to the United States and not the Wembley or other venues in Britain where he has had all his fights.
Joshua last fought in September 2018 at Wembley, stopping Russia’s Alexander Povetkin in seven rounds, and would have been taking on Wilder, but both parties could not reach an agreement, and since Joshua needed to fight and defend his titles Bigbaby Miller was thrown up and now the two rival will do battle in June.
Joshua putting up the video, said:
“It has been an honour and a blessing to fight at some of the best venues in the world at home in the UK, not least Wembley Stadium, but the time has come to head across the Atlantic and defend my Heavyweight titles in the USA,” said Joshua
