Jolgens Pierre, who goes by the name Jolve94 on social media, was placed in police custody on Saturday, January 6th for events that occurred the day before at his home in Vitry-sur-Seine, AFP reports.
According to the report by BFMTV, Jolgens Pierre has now been indicted of alleged rape. He was placed in pre-trial detention, the prosecution said on Wednesday, January 10.
The facts date back to the previous weekend. On the night of Friday, January 5 to Saturday, January 6, Jolgens Pierre with 408,000 subscribers on Instagram, was alleged to have invited two young women to his home, in Vitry-sur-Seine, after an evening at a nightclub.
The next day, around 10 a.m., they filed a report. They accused Jolgens Pierre, of having encouraged them to consume alcohol and of having attacked them while they were asleep.
The suspect pleads consensual sexual intercourse
Jolgens was parking outside his home when the Territorial Contact Brigade came to arrest him, police sources report.
To investigators, he admitted to having spent the evening with the two young women, but certified that he had consensual sexual relations with them.
His lawyer, Me Tom Michel, assures that he has “elements demonstrating, without any ambiguity, his innocence”.
