Spain seems to have redeemed themselves after a woeful world cup outing in Russia, as they thrashed world cup runners up Croatia 6-0 at the Euro Nations League on Tuesday night
The Luis Enrique side which is still rebuilding, smashed six goals past Croatia, as Real Madrid man, Marco Asensio dazzles to give his side an emphatic win.
The goals came from Saul, Asensio, Kalinic (own goal), Rodrigo, Ramos and Isco
The result is coming after the Spanish side beat England 1-2 and now Croatia as Enrique continues rebuilding plans for the former world and Euro Champions.
The game Stated well for the Croatians, taking the game to the Spanish, but failed to punish the Spanish side spurning all opportunities, which they were punnished for.
From then on, though, Spain were rampant taking on their opponent, as Saul Niguez scored his second goal in as many goals to opening the scoring, powering home a header from an outside-of-the-boot Dani Carvajal cross
Asensio struck Spain’s second, lashing home a finish from 25 yards, before forcing a third, finding the back of the net via the crossbar and the back of Lovre Kalinic in the Croatian goal. There was a fourth goal for Rodrigo after the break, with Sergio Ramos sco adding a fifth and sixth respectively.
The game was the perfect game for the team and Spanish supporters who needed a result such as that, to renew their confidence on their team.
There are still more games to come, as the Spanish coach and other European Coaches have praised the competition as it will help them see where they are going into the qualifying round of Euro competition.
