Sydney Sweeney says she ‘would love’ to return to the silver screen for a Housemaid sequel.

It comes on the heels of the release of her new movie, which is based on the 2022 Freida McFadden novel of the same name.

Sydney Sweeney, 28, plays Millie, a live-in housemaid trying to start fresh and leave her past behind.

And the actress told People, ‘I would love to [reprise the role].’

‘I was such a huge fan of the books, so I would be just as happy as everyone else being able to see more Housemaids come to life and getting to explore more of Millie,’ she enthused.

Sydney Sweeney added about her character: ‘She’s spicy. She is a fighter. She knows what she believes in and she stands up for it. I love characters like that. I love seeing movies that have just fully embraced female rage.’

Her character works for Amanda Seyfried’s seemingly polished character Nina Winchester, who is married to Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar).

Things go left, putting Millie in a dangerous position when the Winchesters’ luster begins to chip away.

A logline describes the movie as a ‘seductive game of secrets, scandal and power.’

Director Paul Feig told People co-stars Sweeney and Seyfried’s onscreen chemistry is ‘through the roof.’

‘They are both such powerful talents and work so well off each other that you very quickly get sucked into their onscreen world,’ he shared.

The women also served as executive producers on the project.

On Friday the Euphoria star took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos from the movie set.

Engaging her 25.6 million followers, she wrote in the caption: ‘@housemaidmovie IN THEATERS NOW!!!!’

Feig recently described Sweeney as ‘body positive’ and said she isn’t fighting ‘insecurity’ like other movie stars.

He told The Times newspaper: ‘She’s very proud of how she looks, and you should be.

There are so many people I’ve encountered where you’re fighting against their insecurity.

She would say: “I love women’s bodies,” and that’s so healthy.’

The siren had to film intimate scenes with co-star Sklenar for the new movie and the he insisted the pair didn’t have any issues with stripping off on camera, although nudity on set does make the director himself feel ‘uncomfortable.’

He told the publication: ‘There’s nobody more uncomfortable with it [onscreen nudity] than this guy [me].’

Feig went on to praise the work of the film’s intimacy coordinator, adding that the role coordinators play on film sets is a good thing for Hollywood.

He said: ‘[It’s] the greatest thing that’s happened in Hollywood. When you have a 63-year-old man amongst all these beautiful young people, you don’t want to be the pervy porn producer, telling people to do stuff.’
