Love Is Blind stars Alexa and Brennon Lemieux have announced they are divorcing after four years of marriage together.
Alexa and Brennon Lemieux, who met on the third season of the US version of the Netflix dating series, took to social media to share a joint statement with devastated fans.
It read: ‘After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
‘This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared.’
Alexa and Brennon Lemieux, continued their statement by adding they leave their relationship ‘with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way’.
Alexa and Brennon Lemieux have a daughter named Vienna, who they welcomed in July 2024.
Ending their statement, they said: ‘While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.
‘We kindly ask for privacy as we move forward and focus on our individual paths while keeping our precious daughter as our top priority.’
Devastated fans flooded them with support, with one writing: ‘You were THE love is blind couple’.
Announcing the birth of their daughter in July 2024, the proud parents said: ‘Our perfect daughter, Vienna Ziva Lemieux, born July 31, 2024.’
They continued: ‘She has mommy’s hair and daddy’s dimples and we couldn’t be more in love,’ the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post on Thursday.
Alexa and Brennon revealed they were expecting a baby in January in a cutesy Instagram post and caption.
Shortly after their announcement, Alexa shared her struggles of conceiving during a candid interview with PEOPLE.
‘We wanted this to happen and so we’re just grateful to be here,’ Alexa told the outlet. ‘It’s been such a big part of my life [and] I’m the worst secret keeper … so I’m ready for it to be out there!’
‘We’ve been trying for almost a year and a half, so it was a lot,’ she noted. ‘I went through some fertility treatments and nothing worked. I was really nervous that maybe we’re never going to be able to have kids.’
Alexa ‘cut out alcohol and caffeine, got weekly acupuncture…tried almost everything people recommended’ — and believed she might ‘never … have a baby of [her] own.’
And then, she got a positive pregnancy test when she ‘least expected it’ reflecting that it was the ‘hardest’ journey.
In a lengthy Instagram post last year, Alexa detailed all she went through to conceive, including two IVF treatments.
‘I’ve dreamed about being a mom for as long as I can remember. Whenever I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same. A mom,’ she wrote.
‘I wish I could go back in time for a moment and give the me a year ago the biggest hug and tell her all her dreams are going to come true. That I will get to be a mom and that I’ll get to do it all with the love of my life,’ she wrote
‘As I lay here with you squirming around in my tummy, I’m a little sad that I no longer get to be your home. But we can’t wait to meet you on this side, you are already our home.’
