French defender Benjamin Pavard’s goal against Argentina has been voted Hyundai world cup goal of the tournament by football world governing body, FIFA.
The goal was the sublime equalizing goal scored against Argentina in the round of 16 of the just concluded Russia 2018 FIFA world cup, which saw France winning that game 4-3 to advance to the finals of the tournament and the eventual winner of the tournament.
The 22-year-old French man beat other 17 nominated goals in the tournament, including Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa’s goal against Iceland in the group stage, to claim the Hyundai prize.
