A Kano witch doctor has been arrested by the Hisbah officials for allegedly impregnating a woman after she went to him to seek treatment.
The Kano Witch Doctor whose name was given as Muhammad Mansur, a resident of Dawakin Kudu local government, was arrested after the woman, whose name has not been disclosed, filed a lawsuit demanding that she be held responsible for her seven-month pregnancy, BBC Hausa reports.
According to the report by BBC Hausa, news from the town show that the Kano Witch Doctor is famous for deceiving women, including married women.
Bokan deceives women by telling them that if they sleep with him, he will give them medicine that will prevent them from having rivals and have the opportunity to have a husband.
She told Hisbah officials that when she went to seek the medicine from the doctor he told her that it was not possible, so they slept together.
According to her, the man has been trying to meet her for a long time, if they go there with her mother, but he did not succeed until she visited him alone.
The witch doctor Muhammad Mansur, confessed to this crime, but said that it was the work of the devil.
The head of the Hisbah branch of the local government, Ustaz Kabiru Musa Dawakiji, said that they will continue to investigate in order to take action.
