Ben White will in the next few days, complete his reported £50million move to Arsenal, as manager Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Mikel Arteta with fans returning back to see the games live in the stadium, does not need any reminder that fans will demand more from himself and his players going into the new season. The likes of Ben White could be what they have been missing, giving his fantastic display last season for Brighton and his addition to the Arsenal line could really put a stop to their off and off performances we saw last season.
According to SkySports, Arsenal did see offers for the 23-year-old defender turned down by Brighton, but finally caved in and bid a reported £50m for his services.
White looks set to become the north London club’s third signing of the transfer window, with Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga recently arriving at the club.
Ben White made 36 appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season helping them avoid relegation from the top-flight; a sell-on clause has been inserted into the deal for the England defender, who is expected to undergo a medical this week and announcement and unveiling will follow.
Personal terms already agreed and paperwork signed in the last few days.
