Former Manchester United and Everton midfielder, Marouane Fellaini has ended his self-quarantine, a few weeks after leaving the hospital for testing positive to coronavirus.
Marouane Fellaini broke the good news of ending his self-quarantine on his social media page a few hours ago, captioning a photo of him jogging with these words:
“Happy to have finished quarantine today and left hospital. Thanks to the medical staff for taking care of me, to the club for their support and for all the messages I have received. Good to be back with my team ❤️ ❤️❤️ @lunengtaishan #freedom,” he said on finishing self-quarantine.
The Belgian was discharged from a Chinese hospital in April, after spending three weeks being treated for coronavirus and was asked to self-quarantine for 14 days for further observation.
The 32-year-old Shandong Luneng midfielder was the only player known to have contracted the disease in the Chinese Super League (CSL).
The Belgium international said on March 22 that he had tested positive for coronavirus, having just returned to China, but assured fans that he was feeling fine. He updated his fans with this message on Wednesday 13th May 2020.
