Chelsea And Brighton are reported to have been secretly working at nights, over Marc Cucurella deal away from public eyes, especially Fabrizio Romano, who seems to know all the transfer gist.
This latest news, was confirmed by renowned football journalist himself, Fabrizio Romano on his official social media handle on Thursday. It comes a few hours after he reported that the defender Marc Cucurella has already undergone a successful medical in London on Thursday.
Fabrizio Romano reported that “Chelsea and Brighton have been preparing contracts in the night in order to get Marc Cucurella deal signed on Friday. Medical was perfect and Thomas Tuchel is now waiting for him. #CFC Fee confirmed as advanced earlier: £55m guaranteed plus £7m in add-ons to Brighton,” he added.
Chelsea young defender, Levi Cowill will join Brighton on loan until June 2023.
Chelsea’s 19-year-old centre-back Colwill spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town in the Championship and is wanted by Brighton this summer
Before today and this latest report, it was widely reported on Wednesday evening that Chelsea had beaten Manchester City to the signing of the defender, agreeing a £50m fee with Brighton.
But the Seagulls released a statement in response, claiming that they have not yet agreed to sell Cucurella despite the Spaniard agreeing personal terms with the Blues.
